Lotte Beese: Bauhaus Pioneer

Lotte Beese was one of the few female architects associated with the Bauhaus 🏗️
Lotte Beese (1903–1988) was an important protagonist in modern architecture. She actively participated in architectural modernism in the twentieth century. She was an architectural planner who remained devoted to functions and methods. Also, she was part of the Dessau Bauhaus. In addition, the testing ground was the Bauhaus institution. Yup, she was one of the few women of the Bauhaus. In fact, she put herself in the field of architecture. In addition, she gives us an overview of a key figure in the modernist movement. Most noteworthy, her job in architecture and planning took place in Rotterdam.
Lotte Beese introduced Hannes Meyers’ Bauhaus into the architectural field. Most outstanding, the department was not for women. The environment was the situation being conducive for women. Furthermore, the belief was that women cannot and should not choose architecture. The architecture department was actually a source of anti-feminist bias in reality.
The inclusion of a woman architect student was not discussed by the Executive Committee. Most importantly, Hannes Meyer was responsible for the female admission. Meyer argued that Beese will be part of the architectural competency.
