Bauhaus: Ergonomics in Design

The study of ergonomics became relevant at the Bauhaus to improve product design. 🧘♂️
The Bauhaus had a major impact on design discourse and thinking and is a leading modern designer. The novel assumptions went beyond formal considerations to the content-bearing properties. It was this major shift that found expression in the curriculum at the Bauhaus.
At the Bauhaus, ergonomics was not regarded as a broad abstraction. The designers were associated with more concrete objects from a prototype of mass-produced furniture to everyday household objects. Ever since the designers start considering the anthropometric aspect of the human body, the human posture and their correlates. They have measured, calculated and estimated the same along with the dies, to get optimum comfort level and new efficiency and ultimately, optimum safety. A strong pledge to the design process.
